The laboratory was founded by Dr. Sourendra Nath Dutta and gradually it expanded under the able guidance of Dr. Prof. Subir Kumar Dutta who was the Technical Director of the laboratory. With time and dedication, our laboratory has achieved very high quality standards and a reputation for reliable and accurate results at a very reasonable cost. Our goal is excellence and to achieve that goal we always use the latest techniques and instruments. Our chief mission is to serve people. This was the principle of our founder Dr. Sourendra Nath Dutta and we are proud to be carrying his legacy forward through our sincerity and dedication.

Our Executive Director and Chief Pathologist was the legendary Dr. Prof. Subir Kumar Dutta, (MBBS, DCP, MD). He was the Professor and HOD of Pathology in the University College of Medicine and also Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calcutta. He was a member of various medical/ academic bodies at the state and national level. Dr. Subir Kumar Dutta was also the recipient of various awards from government, medical, social and academic institutions.

Our present Chief Pathologist is Dr. Mrinal Kanti Chaudhuri. He is a renowned academician, having stood 1st in  M.D examination. His teaching career spanned from 1974 to 1999 and he has published various medical papers and books. Dr Chaudhuri was member of many examination and paper setting bodies and his acumen as a histopathologist is well known.

The present management is comprised of Ms. Nandini Basu, Dr. Mrinal Kanti Chaudhuri, Dr. Samudra Basu and Mr. Anjan Basu.

We also have a panel of highly experienced and qualified Pathologists as H.O.D.s and consultants of various departments of the laboratory who have enriched our quality of work throughout the years by their sincere efforts.

We are located in central Kolkata, an area well connected by all means of public transport.

Our laboratory is open from Monday to Saturday – 8AM to 7.30 PM. During covid - lockdowns we close early.
